Recycle Right

Curbside recycling resumed in the City of Coral Springs (any residence who uses a roll-out cart placed curbside). Be sure to ‘Recycle Right’ effective immediately. Waste Pro collects the blue cart (1) one time per week. View schedule

Please be aware that any marketing asking for money for recycling is not a city function.

Guidelines

Step 1.What can I recycle?

Currently the only recyclables with value are the following: 

  • Plastics #1 and #2 (water bottles and milk jugs)
  • Cardboard (cut and flatten)
  • Paperboard (cereal and snack boxes)
  • Mixed Paper (junk mail, newspapers, magazines, and office paper; no shredded paper)
  • Aluminum and metal cans and lids, such as coffee cans and vegetable cans.
  • Glass Bottles

All recyclables must be clean and dry. Everything else can be disposed in the green bin to be processed to waste to energy.

Step 2.What not to recycle?

We ask residents not contaminate the bins with the following:  

  • Plastics #3-7
  • Food contaminated items
  • Plastic Bags (recycle at your local grocery store only)
  • Shredded Paper
  • Yard Waste
  • Electronics
  • Polystyrene (Styrofoam)
  • Light bulbs
  • Batteries (tape ends of rechargeable and lithium ion batteries and place in plastic bag)
  • Plastics (hangers, plastic toys and flowerpots)
  • Wet cardboard and newspaper
  • Clothes and fabrics
  • Hazardous Material
  • Construction Debris

Step 3.Where can I recycle if I live in a multi-family home?

Residents may drop off recyclables to be processed at a Recycling Facility at the following locations:

  • Waste Transfer Station located at 12600 Wiles Road (open Saturdays and Sundays)
  • Mullins Park, outside the Coral Springs Gymnasium at 2501 Coral Springs Drive (open 24/7)
  • Whispering Woods at 7701 Wiles Road (open 7 days a week, 8 a.m. to sunset)
