What It Could Mean for Coral Springs

The City of Coral Springs is closely monitoring the property tax reform ballot amendment which was voted on and approved by the House and Senate during Special Session. Any significant change to property tax revenue will impact the way Coral Springs funds and provides services our residents rely on every day.

If approved, the City of Coral Springs is projected to experience a reduction in annual property tax revenue of approximately:

2028 Revenue Impact $14,546,787 & 2020 Revenue Impact $26,853,723

Why This Matters

Property taxes are a primary funding source for municipal services. In Coral Springs, many of the services that contribute to our quality of life are supported through this revenue, including parks, recreation, community events, senior programming, neighborhood improvements, public education, public communication, infrastructure, and other resident-focused services.

This conversation is not simply about reducing costs. It is about understanding what residents value in a city and how those services are funded.

What Makes Coral Springs a Premier Community?

We want residents to consider the services, programs, and amenities that help define Coral Springs:

  • Parks, trails, and athletic fields
  • Recreation and youth programming
  • Senior services
  • Arts and culture
  • Community events
  • Public safety education
  • Community paramedicine
  • Neighborhood beautification
  • Resident communication and outreach
  • Infrastructure and roadway improvements
  • Economic development and long-term planning

As more information becomes available, the city will provide factual updates and opportunities for residents to learn more.
