Celebrate your new business with a City of Coral Springs Grand Opening Sign! For a $500 fee, the program provides a City-designed and installed temporary pole sign with a 30-by-80-inch sign panel. No sign permit is required through this program.

Step 1.Confirm eligibility

Businesses may apply within the first six months of receiving approval of their City of Coral Springs Local Business Tax application.

 

Step 2.Submit your application and artwork

Please send your business logo or artwork as a 300 dpi JPEG or PDF file with your application below:

Step 3.Receive your project number

City staff will review your submission. A project number will be created and emailed to you for payment.

 

Step 4.Pay the program fee

Use your project number to pay the $500 program fee online through the City’s eTrakit portal or in person at the One Stop Shop within City Hall.

 

Step 5.Approve your sign design

Once payment is received, your artwork will be sent to the Communications and Marketing Department to create a mockup. The mockup will then be emailed to you for approval.

 

Step 6.Coordinate sign installation

Once you approve the design, the City will install the sign in the nearest street right-of-way, as close as possible to a location parallel to your business, taking underground utilities into account.
 
The nine-foot-tall pole sign includes a “Grand Opening” announcement at the top, one business logo, and a directional arrow on both sides. The sign will remain displayed for 45 consecutive days.

No-Permit Temporary Grand Opening Wall Banner

With property owner permission, new businesses within the City of Coral Springs may announce their grand opening with a temporary wall banner. The business owner may install the banner above the business entrance for up to 45 consecutive days without a permit.

  • The banner must not exceed 32 square feet.
  • The banner must not be displayed for more than 45 consecutive days.
  • The banner may only be displayed within the first six months after the business receives its local business tax approval.
  • The store manager must mark the installation date on the bottom right-hand corner of the banner.
