Proposed Amendments to
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funds
Action Plan FY 2025/2026

Federal regulations governing the City of Coral Springs FY 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan requires a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with reasonable notice of an opportunity to comment on any substantial amendment to the Plan. The public comment period extends thirty (30) days from the date of publication of this public notice. The City of Coral Springs is proposing to make the changes indicated below. In accordance with 24 CFR Part 91.505 entitled “Amendments to the Consolidated Plan,” the following criteria are used to determine amendments to Annual Action Plans:

According to 91.505 (a), the jurisdiction shall amend its approved Plan whenever it makes one of the following decisions:

  1. To make a change in its allocation priorities or a change in the method of distribution of funds;
  2. To carry out an activity, using funds from any program covered by the consolidated plan (including program income), not previously described in the action plan; or
  3. To change the purpose, scope, location, or beneficiaries of an activity.

Substantial Changes to Activities in the Action Plan

The 30-day public comment period will commence September 20, 2026 and end October 20, 2026. Copies of the amendments are available at the City of Coral Springs Community Development Division located at 9500 West Sample Road, Coral Springs, Florida 33065. Citizens are encouraged to comment upon the proposed substantial amendments.

The City of Coral Springs City Commission will meet to consider approval of the proposed amendments to FY 2025/2026 Action Plan. The meeting will occur at 6:30 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at City Hall, located at 9500 West Sample Road, Coral Springs, Florida 33065. Interested parties are encouraged to attend and participate.

The City has uncommitted funds from the FY 2020-2021, FY 2022-2023, FY 2023-2024 and FY 2024-2025 Action Plans. These funds are available as a result of various projects being completed under budget. They include:

Funds will be added to the City’s existing Public Infrastructure program for FY 2025-2026 - Coral Hills Project:

NW 39th Street between Coral Hills Drive and Coral Springs Drive - Design Services project.

Previously, $80,000 of FY 2025-2026 CDBG Action Plan funds was allocated to this project.
