mural

The Public Art Committee selected a mural to be installed in Downtown Coral Springs, on the north building of the Cornerstone development near Sample Road and University Drive.

The mural design, submitted by nationally known artist CJ Hungerman, will be painted on the building’s exterior, facing Sample Road at the new location of the Coral Springs Museum of Art.

The mural will feature abstracted flowers accented with a black and white pattern.

Hungerman is an established American painter and sculptor from Geneva, Illinois, whose work has been widely exhibited across the country. Known for using bold colors and flat shapes to create the illusion of 3D surreal environments, his work reflects the diversity within communities.

The mural is funded through the Public Art Fund, a dedicated revenue source where public art fees are collected during the permitting process for new construction and renovations of existing structures. The General Fund does not finance this program; it is entirely self-funded through fees from new development and redevelopment.
