Special Population Programs

Our Parks and Recreation Department proudly provides Special Populations Programs for people with special needs. The program has been ongoing for more than a decade and includes engaging activities where participants feel safe and welcomed. Members can select the opportunities that best fit their needs and participate at their convenience.

Saturday Social Club is a fun-filled activity day designed for individuals ages 10 and up who have unique physical and mental needs. Program includes on-site entertainment and activities. Participants need to be self-sufficient in toileting and eating.

Register

Special Populations Youth Activities offer safe and fun-filled activities designed for physically and mentally challenged youth ages 6-12 to enjoy. Programs include on-site social and recreational entertainment.

All registered participants must have at least one adult caregiver accompany them during the activity.

Show us your moves! Themed dances offered on select dates to give persons with special needs an opportunity to let loose and have fun in a safe space.

Admission is $5 per person (cash only), and includes entertainment and light refreshments. Direct supervision is not provided. To register call, 954-345-2208.

Saturday Night Socials are designed for physically and mentally challenged individuals. Ages 16 and up. This series offers participants an evening with their peers to share a meal and socialize. REGISTRATION OPENS AUGUST 25th.
