Captain Frank Randazzo, Community Services

Captain Frank Randazzo currently serves as an Administrative Captain with the Coral Springs Police Department, where he oversees the Training Unit, Records, Recruitment, Social Media, Body-Worn Cameras, and Public Information functions.

Captain Randazzo began his law enforcement career with the department in 2005, initially assigned to the Patrol Unit. While working Alpha Shift, he became a Field Training Officer in 2008, helping to mentor and develop new officers. In 2016, he was promoted to Detective and transferred to the Crimes Against Persons Unit, where he handled complex and sensitive investigations.

In 2022, Captain Randazzo was promoted to Sergeant and returned to Patrol, supervising a squad of officers. In 2026, he was selected to lead as Sergeant of the Street Intelligence and Threat Management Units, further expanding his leadership and operational experience. He has since advanced to the rank of Captain.

Throughout his career, Captain Randazzo has received numerous commendations, including one Lifesaving Commendation, six Exceptional Police Initiative Commendations, and six Team Citations. He has also earned multiple Letters of Commendation and appreciation from community members. In recognition of his dedication and performance, he was named Officer of the Year in 2021 and has been part of two “Unit of the Year” honors: Patrol in 2008 and Crimes Against Persons in 2021.

Captain Randazzo holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Florida, which he earned in 1998.
