Coral Springs is one of 24 cities selected to participate in Cities Forward - a U.S. State Department initiative led by ICLEI USA, Resilient Cities Catalyst, and Institute of the Americas. The goal is to help participating cities implement solutions that promote sustainability, inclusivity, and resilience in neighborhoods and communities.

In September 2022, Coral Springs pledged to join the Cities Race to Zero, a United Nations campaign aimed at mitigating climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

 Coral Springs actively participates in the Southeast Florida Climate Change Compact – a partnership between Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach counties, that works to reduce regional greenhouse gas emissions, implement adaptation strategies, and build climate resilience within communities and across the Southeast Florida region.
