District Chief Daniel Nyer, A Shift

Danny Nyer serves as the District Chief for A-Shift with the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department. Throughout his career, he has held a wide range of leadership and operational roles, including Battalion Chief, Captain, Driver/Engineer, Firefighter/Paramedic, and Field Training Officer. He also served as lead of the Promotional Division through the Coral Springs Regional Institute of Public Safety.

Nyer holds an Associate’s Degree in Emergency Medical Services. He began his fire service career at the age of 15 as a Fire Explorer and officially joined the department as an employee in July 2004. His dedication and leadership have been recognized through numerous honors, including being named Supervisor of the Year twice, in 2004 and 2021. He has also received four Unit Citations, three Lifesaving Commendations, and two Technical Rescue Commendations.
