Deputy Chief Zachary Roseboom

Zachary Roseboom currently serves as the Deputy Chief for the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department. Chief Roseboom joined the department as a volunteer Firefighter EMT in 2004 and was hired in 2006 as a Firefighter Paramedic. Throughout his career, he has served as a Driver Engineer, Captain, Battalion Chief, and Division Chief. He has also taught at the Coral Springs Regional Institute of Public Safety (CSRIPS) as both a Lead and Co-Lead Instructor and served as the Lead Advisor for the Coral Springs Fire Explorers.

Chief Roseboom holds Fire Officer IV, Instructor II, Incident Safety Officer, FEMA Logistics Section Chief, and FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certifications. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Fire Administration and also holds the Chief Fire Officer (CFO) designation and the Accredited Chief Fire Officer designation from the Center for Public Safety Excellence (CPSE).

Throughout his career, Chief Roseboom has received numerous commendations and awards, including Firefighter of the Year (2012), Broward Health Paramedic of the Year (2013), and Instructor of the Year (2015). His additional recognitions include two Lifesaving Commendations, two Team Citations, four Unit Citations, a Technical Rescue Commendation, an Administrative Service Commendation, a Meritorious Duty Commendation, and the City of Coral Springs Employee Excellence Award for Accountability.

Passionate about supporting the fire service profession, Chief Roseboom serves as Chairman of the Broward Fire Chief Support Service Committee and is a member of the Broward Fire Chief Support Service Mutual Air and Communication Committee. He is married and the proud father of two children.
