Stop the Bleed Day

The Coral Springs Fire Department is hosting free Stop the Bleed certification trainings at different city facilities during National Stop the Bleed Day. The program is a nationwide initiative with the goal to train every American in basic bleeding control techniques. You will receive a certificate of completion for the Stop the Bleed program and the knowledge and confidence to help yourself or others in need when a bleeding emergency happens.  

During the course, you’ll be taught how to:

  • Recognize Life-Threatening Bleeding
  • Apply Effective Pressure
  • Use a Tourniquet
  • Pack a Wound

Locations and times

Each class is about an hour and a half.

  • City Hall - 9 a.m. & 1:30 p.m.
  • Veterans Hall - 10 a.m., 12 pm. & 5:30 p.m.
  • 4150 Building - 9 a.m. & 12 p.m.

Register

Due to the technical requirements of the hands-on portion and the subject matter, we recommend that no one under the age of 10 register.
