Memorial Day Ceremony

The city, in partnership with the Veterans Coalition of Coral Springs, will host a special Memorial Day Ceremony to honor the brave men and women of our military who have given their lives in service to our nation.

Keynote Speaker

The event will feature a keynote speech from U.S. Army veteran Colonel Jay Siegel. Siegel is a 30-year Coral Springs resident who joined the U.S. Army after completing his ROTC commitment and graduating as a Cadet Major. Siegel spent time at numerous bases during his years in military service, including an assignment in Panama; combat zone assignments in Pleiku and Cam Rahn Bay, Vietnam; a Postal Officer role at Fort Bragg, North Carolina; and various roles as a member of the U.S. Army Reserves in Edison, New Jersey. His final position before retiring was serving as the Army Liaison to FEMA Region II, Military Emergency Coordinator.

If inclement weather occurs, the ceremony will take place at the Coral Springs Gymnasium (2501 Coral Springs Drive.)
