Emergency Traffic Signals at Fire Station 71 and 80

The project is partially funded with proceeds from the Transportation Surtax through the Mobility Advancement Program (MAP) of Broward County.

Project Overview

This project consists of the installation of two (2) traffic signals to allow emergency vehicles to easily access major intersections and roadways and minimize the response time of first responders to attend to emergency situations.

Locations

  • One traffic signal will be installed near Fire Station 71 at the intersection of Coral Ridge Drive and N.E. 41st Street.

  • The second traffic signal will be installed near Fire Station 80 at the intersection of Coral Springs Drive and N.E. 28th Court.

Traffic impacts

  • Sidewalk closures/detours during installment of the mast arms.
  • Partial lane closures during milling and resurfacing of the intersections.
