Sculpture on Westview Drive

Project Summary

The City of Coral Springs Public Art Program will temporarily display up to five artworks. The City will then purchase one or more sculptures for the continued expansion of public art within the City. The purchased sculpture(s) may be chosen from the temporary display for the Sculpture on Westview Drive Program.

Public Art Project Description

Westview Drive is a beautiful winding roadway traversing east and west along the northern portion of the City of Coral Springs. The project limit spans about 1 mile between Coral Ridge Drive and University Drive. Up to five sculptures will be temporarily displayed on separate concrete pads. A flyer along with social media and press releases will be completed on the artworks and artists selected. Of the artworks on display, the Public Art Committee will select one or more pieces of artwork to purchase for the permanent public art collection.

Existing Artwork

Artists should submit pre-existing artworks for purchase. The City of Coral Springs will only rent and purchase unique works of art (ones which are not mass produced), but a series of artworks encompassing the same concept may be considered.

Qualities of Artwork

There is no set theme for the 2026 Sculpture on Westview Program. The Public Art Program is looking to feature a variety of artworks reflecting the unique styles and themes of the selected artists.

The artwork must be capable of “holding its own” in the temporary location and the artwork’s final location as identified on the Public Art Master Plan. Artwork must be able to fit on a 4-foot by 5-foot pad. Vertical sculptures are preferred.
