Building Permits

Before you begin, please note that most searches are available in eTRAKiT with no login. Simply select the search needed, and enter the search criteria. If you need to make payment, apply for a permit or schedule an inspection, then you will need to login to eTRAKiT. NOTE: Electronic submittals only require one (1) set of required documents.

Temporary Use Permit (Code for eTrakit - TEMP):
A temporary use permit is issued to allow temporary use of land that otherwise is not a permitted use in accordance with Chapter 25 of the Land Development Code (i.e., Christmas Tree Sales, Fireworks, Pumpkin Patch, etc.)

Special Events Permit (Code for eTrakit - SEP):
Any assembly, meeting, parade or gathering of a group of people, animals, vehicles, or a combination thereof, having a common purpose on any publicly or privately owned property which interrupts the usual flow of pedestrian traffic, vehicular traffic, occupies any public property to the exclusion of others, or any private use of buildings or property which deviates from the established, legal permitted use of such property or building, shall require a Special Event Permit.

To submit a permit, you must first create an account on the eTrakit system.

Step 3.Complete Application Packet

Download and fill out the application packet. You will have to upload to eTrakit when you apply for a Temporary Use Permit.

Step 4.Apply

Log on to eTrakit and click “Apply/New Permit.” Make sure to select “TEMP” as the permit code. You will need to have the completed application packet ready for upload.

Log on to eTrakit and click “Apply/New Permit.” Make sure to select “SEP” as the permit code. You will need to have the completed application packet ready for upload.

Step 5.Review Process

The Special Events Department will review each application and make sure all requirements are meant. If documents are missing, city staff will contact you.

Step 6.Payment

If approved, a member from the Special Events Department will contact you to provide the following:

  • Payment of non-refundable fee.
  • Certificate of Insurance listing the City of Coral Springs as an additional insurer.
