Coral Springs has grown from a master-planned “piece of gold on the gold coast” to a thriving city, with a bright future! Thank you for joining us for the many unique community events during our 60th Anniversary year in 2023!

60th Anniversary Public Art:

  • The Living Story of Coral SpringsIn honor of celebrating the city’s 60th Anniversary in 2023, the City Commission approved the Public Art Committee’s selection of “The Living Story of Coral Springs” by artist Casto Solano. The steel-paneled piece features engraved depictions of city history during the past six decades.

Past events and celebrations:

  • Campout Coral Springs: Residents embarked on an overnight camping adventure at the Sportsplex Athletic Field with s’mores, a double-feature movie showing on a big outdoor screen, outdoor activities, and more. Registration will open in late 2023 for the second annual Campout to take place in 2024.
  • Community Celebration Concert: Residents and city leaders gathered in Downtown Coral Springs on the City Hall Lawn to enjoy live music, food, games and activities, brews, and a message from City Commissioners.
  • Birthday Ice Cream BashFree ice cream was distributed community wide to residents, seniors, summer campers, city workers, first responders, and more courtesy of Al Hendrickson Toyota. Coral Springs was officially chartered in 1963, and sharing sweet treats with the community offered a ‘cool’ way to celebrate the city’s milestone birthday together.
  • City’s Largest Pizza Party Mamma Mia! Local pizzerias will be invited to join forces, feed the masses, and compete for awards and bragging rights. From the healthiest pie to the highest dough toss, and the longest cheese pull, this celebration will aim to serve scrumptious slices and create community camaraderie.
