Coral Springs residents had the chance to trade their tablets for tents at the first-ever overnight camping event in honor of the city’s 60th Anniversary.

Reservations

This event is for Coral Springs residents only. All who wish to attend must purchase a camping space, and each space must have at least one adult camp leader.

  • Cost: $80 (includes a camping space for four people, access to all activities, dinner on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday)
  • In January, additional campers may be added for $20 each, up to a max of 6 campers per space.
  • Campers must provide their own tent, sleeping supplies, and chairs.
  • Registered campers will be entered to win a luxury glamping night in a bell tent provided by The Tailored Tent. Winner will be announced in early January.

Registration opened on Saturday, December 17 at 10 a.m. and is currently SOLD OUT.

Safety Guidelines

Guidelines

  • Campers may begin check-in/set-up on Saturday at 11 a.m. (all registered guests will receive a wristband)
  • All campers are to breakdown on Sunday between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
  • Electrical stations will be available during set up to inflate air mattresses
  • A phone charging station will be available on-site
  • Restrooms are available on-site but does not include showers
  • Parking is available at at Coral Glades High School. (Beach carts are encouraged for setup and breakdown)
  • Rain or Shine - in the event of lightning in the area, campers will seek shelter in their cars until storm passes

To ensure campers stay safe during the experience, Coral Springs Public Safety will be on-site.

  • Communal campfires will be controlled by the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department.
  • All activities, including overnight sleeping, will take place within a fenced field, and the Coral Springs Police Department will provide security throughout the night.

Prohibited at the event:

  • RVs
  • Pets of any kind
  • Alcohol
  • Fireworks/ sparklers
  • Cooking or fires at tent sites
  • Unregistered guests 
  • Amplified music or speaker
  • Personal generators

Campers will enjoy the following activities at no extra cost:

  • S'mores-making
  • Outdoor theater style movies
  • DJ/Dance Party
  • Stargazing
  • Animal meet-and-greets with the Sawgrass Nature Center
  • Archery
  • Kickball
  • On-site playground and more!

What to pack

  • Tent with capacity up to 6 campers
  • Chairs 
  • Sleeping materials: air mattresses or cots, blankets, and pillows 
  • Coolers with drinks and additional food/snacks 
  • Flashlights and lanterns 
  • Refillable water bottles 

Additional suggestions will be provided to registered campers.
