Battalion Chief Zachary Roseboom, Support Services

Captain Zachary Roseboom

Zachary Roseboom currently serves as the Battalion Chief of Support Services for the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department. Roseboom joined the department as a volunteer Firefighter EMT in 2004 and was hired in 2006 as a Firefighter Paramedic. Throughout his career, he has also served as a Driver Engineer and Logistics Captain. He has taught at the Coral Springs Regional Institute of Public Safety (CSRIPS) as a Lead and Co-Lead Instructor as well as serving as the Lead Advisor for the Coral Springs Fire Explorers. He has obtained his Fire Officer II, Instructor II, Incident Safety Officer, FEMA Logistics Section Chief, Accredited Fire Officer designation from the Center for Public Safety Excellence, and an associate degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University.

Roseboom has received numerous commendations over the years including Firefighter of the Year for 2012, Instructor of the Year for 2015, Broward Health Paramedic of the Year in 2013 as well as two Lifesaving Commendations, two Team Citations, four Unit Citations, a Technical Rescue Commendation, an Administrative Service Commendation, a Meritorious Duty Commendation, and a City of Coral Springs Employee Excellence Award for Accountability.

As Battalion Chief, Roseboom reports to Jason Gonzalez, Division Chief of Support Services.
