Ronnie Abou-Semaan currently serves as the Battalion Chief assigned to the Training Division for the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department. He joined the department in April 2007 as a Firefighter Paramedic and was promoted to Lieutenant in 2009, then to Captain in 2014. He previously served several years as Captain in the Training Division. Throughout his career he has earned one Unit Citation, two Lifesaving Commendations, one Administrative Service commendation, and three Team Citations.

Ronnie holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida. He has participated in several committees and focus groups including the Safety and Health, Apparatus, R&D, and SOP. He also is a Peer Fitness Trainer and Peer Support Member. As Battalion Chief of Training, Ronnie reports to John Barry, Division Chief of LEAD Division.
