Neighborhood Partnership Program

The Neighborhood Partnership Program (NPP) is a program for neighborhood organizations and associations to stimulate and enhance neighborhood vitality through community outreach and/or beautification programs. Since the start of the program, the city has had over 130 formal partnerships, contributing to over $1 million in improvements.

Overview

The grant matching program is a neighborhood contribution program, up to $5,000, neighborhood organizations are expected to match 100% of the value of the city's contribution. The funds must be applied to common areas visible to the public rights-of-way, city-owned property in or around a neighborhood or public rights-of-way. Improvements funded by the city through the NPP need to be recognizable as a shared asset to the community. Projects funded include, neighborhood or park signage, landscaping or tree canopy, neighborhood identification signage, lighting along public streets and aesthetics.

Neighborhood contributions may include cash contributions, donations of materials, professional services such as engineering, construction or sweat equity contributed by neighborhood residents or businesses.
