  • Saturday, March 28: Did you know that in the late 1960s Coral Springs became a living laboratory for the future of American homes? When Westinghouse Electric Corporation/Coral Ridge Properties introduced something truly ahead of its time — the Electra Lab Homes.

    These futuristic model homes showcased cutting-edge technology for the era, including innovative appliances, modern kitchens, and energy-efficient features designed to demonstrate how families might live tomorrow. Visitors once toured these homes to experience the future of living firsthand — and that spirit of innovation helped shape Coral Springs into the forward-thinking city it is today.
