Celebrate freedom with libations and laughs at the Coral Springs Juneteenth Celebration, now at an indoor venue! This reimagined event will feature a jam-packed pre-party highlighted by food and entertainment.

Comedy Show starts at 8 p.m.

Enjoy an all-ages show by comedian, Preacher Lawson! Lawson is best known for his time spent as a finalist on the 12th season of Americas Got Talent, America’s Got Talent: The Champions, and Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions. Lawson’s show will also include a special guest opening act, and formal welcome from the Coral Springs City Commission, including Commissioner Joshua Simmons, the city’s first black commissioner who spearheaded the initiative to establish Juneteenth as a city holiday and create an annual celebration.

About Juneteenth

Juneteenth, or “Freedom Day” is symbolically celebrated annually in recognition of the liberation of thousands of enslaved men, women and children in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865 – two and a half years after President Lincoln had already signed the Emancipation Proclamation.
