International Peace Day

The City of Coral Springs along with the Multi-Cultural Advisory Committee and the Clergy Coalition of Coral Springs, Parkland and NW Broward, will celebrate “International Day of Peace” with a community celebration to honor peace and understanding at the International Peace Garden starting at 8 a.m.

Other ways to celebrate PEACE:

  • Completing the "Peace Day Pledge"
  • Join the IMAGINE PEACE Wish Tree, by hanging a wish for peace tag on a designated tree outside or inside your home. Download tag(PDF, 284KB) 
  • Create a Pinwheel for Peace and plant it for all to see. Download template(PDF, 762KB) 
  • Wear white on September 21 to symbolize “Peace Across Broward Day” 
  • Perform a Random Act of Kindness towards a neighbor, friend, or family member

The International Day of Peace ("Peace Day") is observed around the world each year on September 21. Established in 1981 by unanimous United Nations resolution, Peace Day provides a globally shared date for all humanity to commit to Peace above all differences and to contribute to building a Culture of Peace.
