The work is being done in order to construct the drainage along the west side of road. The Wiles Road Project will increase capacity by adding one thru lane in each direction, improve traffic flow and safety, manage access by re-configuring raised medians and improve drainage capacity.

Traffic Impacts

Beginning Monday, February 20 through Friday, March 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Acosta Tractors Inc. (ATI) will be closing the westernmost southbound lane along NW 87th Ave beginning from the Wiles Rd intersection past the construction limits. Once the drainage is nearing completion along this area, ATI will be requesting to close and detour traffic (60 days max) per the contract plans.

NW 87 Avenue between Wiles Road and NW 44 Court will be closed beginning Monday, March 6, 2023, through Thursday, May 4, 2023, due to construction. Eastbound traffic on Wiles Road will be detoured to southbound Riverside Drive to westbound NW 40 Street to northbound NW 88 Avenue. Westbound on Wiles Road traffic will be detoured to southbound University Drive to eastbound NW 40 Street to northbound NW 88 Avenue.
