In celebration of #BlackHistoryMonth, we are recognizing Jay Reynolds, a member of the city’s MLK committee and Coral Springs resident for 24 years. A long-time entrepreneur, Jay spent 15 years progressing in sales and marketing and started his own company, Wolfcreek Consulting, which specializes in placing a diverse pool of Healthcare, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, and Information Technology professionals. He built his business because he wanted to build a company that not only made money but helped people thrive in their careers too. Thank you, Jay, for serving as an incredible role model to our city.

We highlight community member Annejeanette Washington, a STEM advocate, educator, and college professor. Annejeanette has been a resident of Coral Springs for 13 years and currently works at Ramblewood Middle School as an American History teacher. According to her students, she cares about them and makes sure they are represented in various organizations in the community, both African American and Caribbean-American. She exposes her students and youth in the community to STEM, historical events, and scholarship opportunities to pursue their dreams and goals. In addition, she encourages parents to get involved in local schools, particularly middle school, where there is a decrease in parent involvement. We thank Annejeanette for her commitment and dedication to our youth and community. #BlackHistoryMonth
