City of Coral Springs Receives Three ‘Telly Awards’

Coral Springs, FL - During the COVID-19 pandemic, regardless of the challenges faced, the City of Coral Springs Communications and Marketing Department continued to develop, create, and produce impactful and award-winning video content that has once again been nationally recognized.

The Telly Awards honor excellence in video and television content, with judges representing leaders in entertainment, advertising, and emerging technology. The City of Coral Springs is excited to announce that it has once again been recognized with The Telly Awards, not for one outstanding video, but for three outstanding video submissions and series. 

“The ability to actively engage and inform through visual storytelling was even more impactful as we navigated a global pandemic,” said Lynne Martzall, Director of Communications and Marketing.

Telly Awards were received for the following categories:

Upon learning about the Telly Award for Conversations with a Commissioner, Vice Mayor Joshua Simmons, who hosted the video series, said, “The development and production of these videos were an insightful way to promote open dialogue about police operations, policies and the challenges faced by those who serve our communities. It was truly a ground-breaking approach to inspire constructive conversations about tough topics.”

Martzall added, “When our city was faced with the cancellation of Safety Town, a popular 30+ year child safety public education program, the development of a video series ensured its continuation, albeit remotely. And our commitment to recruiting the best and the brightest through a call-to-action video, was an innovative approach to recruitment for telecommunications. I am incredibly proud of the creativity and talent of our team.” 

This year, additional Telly Award Honors went to Netflix, HBO Latina America, Adobe, Nickelodeon and Microsoft. This is great company to be among as a municipality!
