Fitness Class

The Senior Center offers a variety of fitness classes for residents 55 and older.

Class Schedule

  • All classes are 30 minutes except where noted.

Monday

9:30 a.m. Cardio, Strength & Stretch
Low Impact/Beginner
This one hour class will spend 20 minutes in each area of fitness. Participants can adjust their own intensity. It will be held at Cypress Hall. 

9:30 a.m. Stretch & Flex
Low Impact/Beginner
Easy to follow exercises designed to increase strength, help maintain healthy bone mass and prevent age-related muscle loss. Followed by a stretch that will give you more freedom of movement for your everyday activities. A chair is used for support. (Bring light hand weights if you desire)

10:15 a.m. Cardio Burn
Intermediate
This class is for Active older adults who are looking for a workout that will keep you moving with fun easy to follow steps performed to a variety of uplifting music. 

11:00 a.m. Strength Training
Participant can adjust your own intensity and level of impact
This class is designed to improve strength, tone lean muscles & increase endurance while burning calories.

Tuesday

10:30 a.m. Walk & Danz Cardio
Intermediate
March, tap, move and get your steps accomplished for the day with this upbeat class.

11:15 a.m. Sit & Fit
Low Impact/Beginner
Participants sit while they move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to deepen core connection, agility, boost overall well- being, and gain improved balance. 

Wednesday

9:30 a.m. Balance-Posture
Low Impact/Beginner
Improving posture, balance and core body strength is the focus of this chair based class.

10:15 a.m. Cardio Burn
Intermediate
This class is for Active older adults who are looking for a workout that will keep you moving with fun easy to follow steps performed to a variety of uplifting music. 

11:00 a.m. Strength Training
Participant can adjust your own intensity and level of impact
This class is designed to improve strength, tone lean muscles & increase endurance while burning calories. 

Thursday

10:30 a.m. Cardio Dance Party
Participant can adjust your own intensity and level of impact
Our own end of the week dance party. Join the fun and work your body while you sweat and move to the beat of a variety of dance songs.

11:15 a.m. Sit, Fit & Restore
Low Impact/Beginner
This gentle movement, stretch and strength class will allow you to untighten and relax from the week’s workouts.

11:15 a.m. Cardio Plus (Strength & Stretch)
Low Impact/Beginner
Participant can adjust your own intensity and level of impact.
This 60 minute class will work out all three areas of fitness.  Class is held at Cypress Hall. 

 

Guidelines

  • Group is open to Coral Springs Residents and non-residents ages 55+ only.
  • Before attending the class, all new participants must check in at the Coral Springs Senior Center to sign a waiver and provide current photo ID.
