Chief Brad McKeone

Coral Springs Police Chief Bradley McKeone began his career with the Coral Springs Police Department in 1999 where he first served as a patrol officer and a field training officer. He was promoted to investigator in 2005 and transferred to the Vice, Intelligence and Narcotics Unit where he was assigned to the Fort Lauderdale District Office of the DEA and as a K-9 handler.

In 2009, he was promoted to sergeant, supervising Patrol, and then the Traffic Unit. In January of 2014, he was promoted to Lieutenant and in November of 2014 was quickly promoted to Captain where he supervised the Community Services and Patrol/Operation Support components. He was promoted to Deputy Chief in March of 2018 until being named Chief of Police in 2022. Chief McKeone has also served as executive officer for the SWAT team.

Chief McKeone holds many degrees, certifications, and honors. He has received multiple awards for Exceptional Police Initiative, Team Citations, and was Officer of the Year in 2008. He graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Columbia Southern University with a master’s degree in Criminal Justice.

Chief McKeone is also a graduate of the Southern Police Institute Command Officers Development Course Session 75. In June 2019, Chief McKeone graduated from the prestigious FBI National Academy Program held at Quantico, Virginia. The program is for executive-level law enforcement personnel from the U.S. and other nations, who look to raise law enforcement standards and enhance their credentials in the field and he was part of the 276th Session of the National Academy.
