Content Submission Agreement

Terms and Conditions

Participants submitting content to the city must be at least 18 years of age. Minors are welcome to submit content for consideration for use but only if submitted by the minor’s parent or legal guardian.

By submitting content to the City of Coral Springs (“City”) for consideration or use by the city, you, or you individually and on behalf of your minor child, (“participant,” individually or collectively) agree to the terms and conditions located at coralsprings.gov/terms and hereby warrant and agree to the following:

Participant warrants to the city that they have lawful ownership rights to the photos, videos, or any other media that exists or may exist in the future (“content”) submitted and acknowledges that once submitted, the content becomes the property of the city.

The content is the result of participant’s sole efforts unless otherwise stated as a collaboration. Except as otherwise disclosed in writing to the city, the content is unique and original and does not infringe upon any copyright or patent.

The Participant additionally grants to city an irrevocable and non-exclusive worldwide license to reproduce, to distribute, and/or to display two or three dimensional reproductions of the content in any manner whatsoever relating to any city publication or event, including, without limitation: the city may alter the content and make derivative works of the content at any time and for any reason.

Hold Harmless

For valuable consideration, the participant agrees to hold harmless, indemnify, and defend (with counsel satisfactory to the city) the city, its agents, officials, employees, and volunteers from and against all liability, including, but not limited to, copyright or patent infringement claims or causes of action, arising out of use of the content and/or claims arising from the content. The participant agrees to pay all costs incident to any claim, including, without limitation, attorneys' fees. This hold harmless and indemnification is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law of the State of Florida.

Should any portion of these Terms and Conditions or Hold Harmless be held to be invalid and unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the invalid and unenforceable part shall be severed and the remainder of the Terms and Conditions or Hold Harmless shall remain in full force and effect.
